Brainstorming does provide unlimited resources for essay writing. Actually, many writers and professional academicians employ various brainstorming techniques prior to writing the next piece of work.
So why not use some brainstorming techniques yourself? Once you try them you will be marvelled at the consequences you get.
How would you handle your situation if you were, for instance, in a Renaissance epoch? Or maybe 1000 years ago? How about the Napoleon times or even future? 20 years later? 56 years later? Or a whole century later?
Imagine you’ve got a chance to face your problem in a completely different place! What about different country? And how about living in a different geographic area? How would you deal with it in such case? Would it be easier or things would stay the same?
Turn on your imagination. What if you were one of those marquee persons in the world history? Albert Einstein? Jack the Ripper? Queen Elizabeth? Jesus Christ? Mother Teresa? Abraham Lincoln? How about people that are still alive? Steven Spielberg? Joanne K. Rolling? Bill Gates or even Oprah Winfrey? In what way would you handle your situation then?
This is the process of free writing which includes no corrections at all. All you’re required to do is to pick the topic and write or type for 15 or even 20 minutes. Don’t stop, don’t breathe – just write! Never lift your hands from the piece of paper or keyboard. Forget about spelling, grammar or punctuation mistakes – you’ll have time to deal with them later! Stop only when the time limits are crossed. When your 20-minutes writing marathon is up, read what you’ve written. Choose 3-4 sentences that make sense and show great promise.
Think about what all your relatives and friends would do in your shoes and then do everything vice versa.
In order to restore you inspiration use questioning words, such as: Why? Where? Who? When? What? How?
Take a sheet of paper and put down a number of ideas at least 66 to deal with the situation you’re stuck in. Just go nuts and write down whatever comes to your brain without any restrictions, limits or boundaries. Try to think nonstandard. And be nonstandard.
